I have 2 little ones in Girl Scouts. It's cookie season. Girl Scouts need an adult to sit with them while they sell cookies.
Fortunately, they chose to set up camp at Gander Mountain. Things could be worse. So that's where I was for a few hours today.
The point of this rambling is that while I was only sitting in the vestibule for 3 hours this evening, I saw no less than 5 new rifle rifle boxes headed out the door, and they were all Winchesters. I took a look at the gun counter there. No special Winchester sale. In fact, with the plant closing, they don't anticipate any more Winchesters to be coming in. Certainly looked like a run to me.
BTW, they wanted $300 for the Henry with the octagon barrel. I'm going to a gun club raffle tomorrow. Hopefully I'll win one instead ;D

Which Henry? If that is the Golden Boy, then that is a great price.
By the way, I got a package in the mail from Henry yesterday. It was a coffee mug, and they thanked me for buying Henry rifles. I had several e-mails with them over the problem with the Survivor rifle.
I didn't think you could have better service than Honda's, but I was wrong.

The golden Boy is nice, but a bit too much "bling" for me. I'm going to pick up the lever action .22 with the 20" octagon barrel. So far, it's looking like about $300. I have a friend who used to be a gunshop owner and is looking into what he can get it for.

Wow, I hope the wood on yours will look as good as what is in the picture. Mine doesn't look that good.
Just as a reference, and I'm sure I mentioned it before, I paid $298 for the Golden Boy with the large loop lever (H004L).

The few I've handled didn't look that good either. Then again, I've never seen a Big Mac that looked like the pictures either. ;D

Then again, I've never seen a Big Mac that looked like the pictures either. ;D Hey, that is a good one. It reminds me of some restaurants that have pictures of the food on their menus. Then you order the meal and what you get looks nothing like what is on the menu. I think it is because the wax beans shown on the menu are really made out of wax. ;D

I was watching the food channel (under duress I might add) and they were doing a thing on professional photographers of food. Turns out that the ice cream in the picture is likely mashed potatoes on the other side of the film.
