MLB got me curious about my old Winchester with my Bushnell 3-9x scope. I hadn't shot it for some time. I've been more interested in iron sights recently. The gun is an old Winchester 290. The trigger is pretty hard (much harder than I remember), but clean, and has a short pre and overtravel. All I've done to it is clean it and shoot it. It can get picky sometimes and jams occasionally (once every 100 or so). After a long absence, my hands forget there is a particular way to cycle the action to load the first round. Some call it character, some call it a pain. It just "is" for me. This was about the 3rd target I shot with it. 50yds, seated at a bench with a folded towel for a front rest, no rear rest, using cheap Remington Golden Bullet bulk pack bullets. The flier is definitely my fault, I felt myself jerk the trigger on it. Not too bad for a gun that I haven't shot for a long time. It may be taking a few more trips to the range. I'll try 100yds next time out. Thanks MLB!!

I've been out for a week or so, and slowly catching up, but when you see a thread titled "Blame it on MLB", it catches your attention. ;D
Nice shootin'. I'm hoping to get out soon. The weather is finally getting nice here.
