So there I was shooting the CZ-453 at 50 yards wondering when I'd remember to actually set the "set trigger" after loading a round, when I get a tap on the shoulder. "I've got something I want you to shoot."
From the subject line you know by now that it was an H&R M-12 from CMP with a 20X J. Unertl Scope. This scope was the most weird looking scope I've ever seen. The adjustments were all external and part of the mounts themselves. It had an adjustable objective and I set it for 50 yards.
I was shooting Wolf Match Extra ammo, and I shot 5 rounds. I turned to my shooting buddy and mouthed: "they all went through the same hole". The owner, who had bought the gun as part of an estate sale, asked me how it shot (he hadn't shot it yet). I looked at him and before I said anything he started laughing and said: "all in the same hole - right". Good thing I don't play poker.
As I was fix'en to leave he was getting ready to shoot it with some Wal-Mart ammo. I stopped him from doing that and gave him some of the Wolf. I told him that it deserved good ammo. I think I'm going to have to get an Anshultz. It ain't me, it is my guns. ;D
