I read on a cop forum they call fanny packs f*g bags they are issued one at most cop places and they are self conscious of these ;D sorry i had to share that....i'll delete this post someday somery; I sometimes post things, not based on my own interest but rather ideas I get from other people. I got the idea of the fanny packs after running into two agents from the B.A.T.F.; Both wear wearing polo shirts and "Fanny Packs". I really felt reluctant to divulge the source behind my posting, but I felt it required some sort of closure. ;D

These days, if I see a person wearing a fanny pack, I always just assume they have a pistol in it. I have not seen a non-gun carrying person wearing one of these since the early 90s. That being said, 99% of the population probably never put the 2 together so it could be a good way to carry it.

I never really gave it much thought, but I guess it is likely true.
My cousin was in Dallas for a 3 day training class, so after it was over, I picked him up, brought him to the house, he changed clothes, and we went out to dinner.
When I picked him up, he was wearing a suit. I asked him if he was carrying, and he moved back his suit jacket to reveal a Glock on his hip. When we went to dinner, he had his fanny pack.
I don't know if it was something he told his mom so she wouldn't worry, but he said that he would only be working white collar crimes. That changed and there are people in prison that he has arrested. So he is never without his Glock. The fanny pack just makes it easier for him to conceal. I had my J-frame 357 Magnum in my pocket, but it was nice to know that he had his Glock in case I needed back-up. ;D

I don't a wear fanny pack but I posted this thread in case other were interested. I find nothing wrong with them; I might find a use for them one day. I often heard their real popular around some clothing optional resorts ;D
