The Smith & Wesson Model 29 , 44 Magnum, was known by many as the Flagship of the S&W line of double action revolvers during the second half of the 20th century. The 29 -2 was the last version to feature the counter bored cylinders to completely encase the rim of the cartridge; It was also the last version to feature the pinned barrel. The 29-2 had the longest production run of any other model 29, from 1961 until 1982, making it the most available in the pre-owned market place. Withstanding the test of time, these revolvers are still considered to be prized possessions to some. This specimen features the four inch barrel with the Nickel Plating finish.
