This Weigand 4PJ Executive is built using a pre-MIM, pre- Clinton Lock, Stainless, S&W 640 Centennial in .38 Special. The 2 1/4 inch full under lug barrel, which is produced by Bill Jarvis of Hamilton Montana, is machined from a match quality stainless steel blank. The barrel also features a tuned Hypra-Port ( trademark) compensation system to reduce muzzle flip. The front sight is dove tail mounted with a tritium insert, which is also adjustable for windage. The barrel’s extractor shroud also features a longer cutout to accommodate a longer extractor rod, normally found on guns with 3” or longer barrels, to ensure positive removal of spent cases. A ball lock is installed on the cylinder crane to prolong the enhanced fit of cylinder to frame. The action job greatly smoothes the D/A pull and includes mating and polishing internal surfaces, removing machine marks left by the factory and utilizes stock springs for reliable ignition. The trigger face is rounded and polished to facilitate the double action only pull. Excessive end shake is removed from the cylinder and head space is set to factory specs. The front of the cylinder is beveled to ease reholstering and cylinder holes are chamfered to make speed loads easier. Galco "Concealable " Havana Brown Holster and Craig Spegel Coco Bolo Boot Grips.
