For my own taste in Westerns, this is a timeless masterpiece which I enjoy more and more each time I see it. Clint Eastwood brought to the big screen some details within this movie, which played in with the character. One was the use of historical accuracy in using the percussion revolvers, along with outfitting the character with more than a few of these revolvers because of timely reloads on the battlefield and horseback. The character Josie Wales fits the true meaning of a pistolero, whether on the draw, on horse back, or when faced with multiple adversaries. It's hard to forget his gun handling at the trading post, with the demonstration of a double road agent spin. While earning a place in Western Movie history as one of the best pistolero movies ever made, Clint Eastwood did this one without the display of fancy leather work, Ivory handled nickel plated Colts, or silver studded saddles. Some of the more entertaining moments of this movie was it's many famous quotes; which Clint Eastwood movies have always been highly known for.
