Lots of gun stuff going on here. About the time I was convinced it was an anti-gun flick, I realized it really wasn't. It became available for rent or to buy on Thursday, and I enjoyed it despite the fact that Sandra Bullock was in it. For some reason I don't usually like her.
Don't want to give away anything here other than it's a film about racism -- and something else. Somethng positive.
Check it out. I think you will find it memorable.

Thanks Callahan; I went to the "Drive In" last night and saw Four Brothers. I am glad there was a second feature, otherwise I would have called the night a big rip off. One word to describe Four Brothers, "Ridiculous". It was that movie, or Brothers Grimm on another screen.

What? I guess the movie was too intellectual for me. I generally like movies that have a plot, and the good guy wins, and they live happy ever after. The only thing missing in this movie was Sean Penn.
It certainly was anti-gun. Were it not for the blanks, the little girl would have died. Then we have the quick drawing police officer. It also had anti-police overtones.
My favorite part was with the HMO worker. That was probably because she reminded me of Queen Latifah in the Steve Martin movie: Bringing Down the House. That was a movie I enjoyed.
I don't enjoy movies where Hollywood tries to impress their values, or lack there of, on me.
My evening would have been better spent watching an AGI movie featuring Simple Green and staring Robert Dunlap. From those I learn something and I enjoy them. Although he should have a cape. You know, like Superman, Bat Man, etc. He should have a cape that says: "Simple Green Man" on it.
Okay, for those of you that haven't watched any of the AGI gun courses. Robert Dunlap has one common part through all of the films. After he totally disassembles them he sprays them with Simple Green and washes them in water. After that he dries them and sprays them with CLP.
I won't say that movies don't have an effect on me. Out in the garage is a one gallon bottle of Simple Green. I like it for washing the wheels on the cars. He is right: it smells nice too.

I'm waiting for a movie to come out where the gunslinger takes out a bottle of Simple Green to clean his pistol. Now if Sylvester Stallone had done this in Cobra, when he was cleaning his 1911, instead of taking his cleaning rod from an egg carton, I would have had a little more respect for that movie.
