That rig is "the balls" as we used to say. That was, I think, the late Richard Boone as Palladin, wasn't it?

Your correct, Krusty. Richard Boone left behind a very big impression with the role he played as Wire Palladin, in "Have Gun Will Travel". The television series of westerns took us from the flamboyant singing cowboys of the forties, to a more dramatic portrait of the western gunslinger during the fifties and sixies. Most will be remembered by the rigs they wore and the characters they played.

I notice the knight (chess) on the holster. If I remember correctly Paladin's calling card had a knight on it and paladin means knight.
