MLB; Good Source but they failed to list the 1967 "Point Blank" with Lee Marvin. This was the first movie I saw as a youngster which featured the S&W Model 29 and the 44 magnum cartridge. Marvin carried about the 4 inch revolver in a business suit as if it was a perfect fit. Another earlier movie was "Bullet" with Steve McQueen and a Colt Snub Nose revolver carried in a Bernes Martin "Lightning" inverted shoulder holster. Although some movies will showcase the intent of a certain piece, they might often change to using dummy guns throughout the filming.

I think I recall seeing "prop" guns for the various James Bond movies for sale on eBay.
That would be an interesting job; firearms consultant and set armourer. It would be a full time job just getting the actors to keep their d*** fingers out of the trigger guard.
