Did anybody watch the convention? I watched Michelle Obama, Bill Clinton, parts of Biden and Obama's speech. Anybody else? What do you think is in store now?

I didn't watch it, but would have liked to. I'd say it's way too early to count either one out.
Actually, I'm glad to have a strong Democratic challenge to the Republican ticket. I'm sure we all remember the crap that Ford and Chevy put out before the Japanese cars provided some real competition (Mustang II anyone?).

Most of the cars and Trucks I owned were from the 70's; reasoning why I ended up with Trucks. I had three different Mustang IIs, a '75 Chevelle, a '70 Dodge Challenger, a '79 Buick Regal, a '79 Ford Custom Truck, a '76 Ford Custom Truck, a '72 Ranger XLT Truck, a '74 Camaro, and a '77 Corvette.
I still have the '77 Corvette and the '72 Ford Ranger XLT Truck.
Obama is preaching to everyone that he won't touch the second amendment; what he fails to tell them is he and Joe Biden is laying plans to ban firearms. The county I live in respects the right to carry firearms, but they made it against the county ordinance to discharge or apply a weapon in self defense; any weapon, including sling shots, BB & Pellet guns, Bows, and many other devices.
Obama's plans are much like our county ordinance, but he plans on making it against the law to own a firearm or ammunition not incorporated with micro stamping technology, which is also not on the new Assault Weapons Ban. That would leave only the second amendment, without the availability of arms except for criminals.
Although the freedom of the press is guaranteed, if the presses don't roll, there with be nothing to read.

We don't indict folks who use a firearm in self defense. Heck, we let Joe Horn off!
Personally, I can't see a jury convicting anyone who was defending his home against an intruder. Once you go outside past the threshold it gets kinda dicey.
I think any jury would also be OK if you are in your personal auto and defending against a carjacking.

Obama and McCain are evil IMHO. We as a country as screwed.
