Well, it is almost a sure thing that the Brady bill in some form is going to get passed aqain. So in preparation for it are any of you putting Hi-Cap magazines on your Christmas list?
I've thought about it, but my problem is storage. I have a large empty storage shed that could hold thousands of them, but I'm worried about security since I don't live in the house where the shed is (I own the house/shed, and it is in Texas, but not being there... I trust my tenant (he pastor's are church), but a shed isn't the most secure thing and air-conditioned storage spaces aren't that easy to find anymore.)

I may buy a couple for my XD, I already have full capacity mags for my other semi autos. Now for the drums for the AKs and ARs... might buy them just for investment purposes.

The thought crossed mymind to buy an M4gery even though I don't care to have one.
Standard capacity magazines can't be sold here in NY. I feel so much safer since bad guys that purchace thier magazines legally at gun stores can only shoot at me 10 times before a reload. Can you imagine the danger if they had 12-15?

AR-15 rifles and magazines are extremely difficult to even find right now. Many dealers are sold out, all distributors are sold out and the manufacturers are not able to supply the demand.
This past week was the busiest the firearms industry has ever seen. I could not believe the orders that were coming in. I don't think I have an AR of any kind left. Some say it was good, but in reality, it is bad. Dealers are not able to resupply their inventory and sales reps. are fearing for their jobs because they have nothing to sell. The prices are going up too.
I spoke to a few customers at our store yesterday that had gone to the Medina, OH gun show. They said the line was so long they were estimating 1 1/2 hours to just get inside, so they left.

Thanks for the update TA, but I can't say that I'm too surprised.
Of course once BO gets his Civilian Task Force in place, and they go around confiscating arms, then people will have wasted their money.
History has a way of repeating itself. He will probably call it Special Security in order to combat intenational terrorism or SS for short.
I think I mentioned before that I was working at AA when the World Trade Center was hit. I remember telling my boss that our lives would never be the same again. We ended up getting outsoured to EDS, and I ended up getting it as part of the 3rd lay-off. I had no idea at the time that I could be so prophetic.
I don't think our lives will ever be the same after our first black president either. Wait... wasn't Jimmy Carter...
I can't believe I'm sitting here wishing that Hillary Clinton was our next President.
I was talking over the phone to a friend of mine that currently lives in the States, and he told me that after it was announced that BO one the election that there was dancing in the streets in the Muslim nations. Why was that?

I am not convinced that there will be major changes in the our right to bear arms. The Brady Bill could very well become law again, but the next Administration needs to be careful. Clinton lost a lot of seats in the house over the Brady Bill and Health Care Reform. Going door to door just does not seem like it could be done. I think GOP and Dems alike would stand up against it. I hope I am right.

"I'm the guy that originally wrote the "assault weapons" ban" -- Joe Biden Mrs. MCCARTHY of New York introduced the following bill; which was referred to the Committee on the Judiciary Text of H.R. 1022: Assault Weapons Ban and Law Enforcement Protection Act of 2007
