Finally, something new on the market that piqued my curiosity: the new Ruger LCR revolver @ 13 OZ for the CT model. I doubt if I could tell the difference between that and my daily carry (when in the USA), the S&W @ 11.5 OZ. Unfortunately, the gun is more ugly than my ex-mother-in-law, and is unlikely to be an addition to my stable any time soon. Since they have gone hi-tech on their web-site, I'm unable to show a picture, but the web-site is at: www.ruger.com/LCR/index.htmlActually, it looks rather cool from a technology standpoint , and I'm sure that polymer costs less than scandium. My real question is: how long will it be until they issue a recall? Should we start a pool?

Ack! It's everywhere! Where will the plastic stop? I should have known TMan would be the first to comment on it here, but Gunblast has a review too: www.gunblast.com/Ruger-LCR.htmHonestly though, I'm glad to see the innovation. Obviously in competition with Smith's scandium revolvers, I don't see it doing very well due to the high price point ($525 MSRP, over $700 with the Crimson Trace laser shown) and it's chambering (38special +P). The lack of a keyhole in the side of the frame is a big plus for many. I peg the recall by August.
