Well, I can't find my original thread on this when I bought it. Maybe I did a spell check and then forgot to do the "Post Message". That has happened before. Anyhow, I got to shoot it today along with the Tokarov. Although it is only .44 MAG, you would think from the recoil that you were shooting the .500 MAG. I did have a problem with one round not igniting, and had an expert at the range look at it. He put it in his Ruger and it went bang. He said that the primer was seated a little too low, and I was also getting light hits, and needed more tension on the hammer spring. Unlike the Rugers, S&W uses a leaf spring. About the gun: it is a Talo Exclusive and of course I had to have it because of the image of the bear on the side. (I would only shoot a bear if we couldn't dialog with it and come to a mutual win-win agreement - BHO has such an influence on me). Unlike the "regular" 329PD, this has a SS cylinder vs titanium. This results in a total weight of 29.7oz vs. 26oz for the titanium version. Also it has a 2-1/2" barrel vs 4" and synthetic grips vs wood. Also it has the gold dot front sight vs the hi-viz. Both versions have the Scandium Alloy frame. We each (my buddy and photographer) put 10 rounds each through it, and between the two of us managed to get two in the center of the target. Next time I'm RO and will be spending a few hours at the range, I'll take it and put a few hundred rounds through it. Want to buy a bridge?

I believe TMan is the only "recoil sensitive" handgun shooter I know that would say it's "only a .44MAG"
That would be a handy backpacking gun.
