Found this site that has archived old S&W ads from the years that it was owned by Bangor Punta (1964 till 1984). I'd never heard of the company, but this link makes for some good reading.

I love the prices for a model S^W M41 $132.00 in 1969. I will get around $1000.00 used for mine now as it is and it was produced in 1958. I am lucky to also own a M46 as well. Same price used for it.
