Well, I just got back from the range and putting 100 rounds through the new Sig 220 Sport. However, I now have the dirtyest gun I have ever seen. The front of the barrel is incrusted in carbon and the is carbon all back through the slide too. Is this normal with a pistol that has a compensator? If so, I can see why there aren't more guns with compensator. If it isn't normal, is it a design problem with this gun or could there be something wrong with it?
As far as shooting is concerned: it is sweet, but towards the end I noticed my arc of movement was getting rather large i.e. I was getting tired. It is not light.

TMAN; Welcome to the world of the Sig Sport Pistols; Nothing is wrong with your pistol, that stuff your cleaning up, around the compensator port and barrel threads, are nothing more than fouling from the flash burns. You will get accustomed to cleaning it, and find that Hoppes #9, a tooth brush, and Q-Tip works just fine.
