Last year, similar ground-breaking legislation was passed in California. It received strong law enforcement support throughout the state.

The National Crime Gun Identification Act of 2008 would require that all semiautomatic pistols be equipped with microstamped identifiers. That means when a gun is fired, its serial number is stamped on the cartridge. Microstamping takes ballistics identification to a new level of reliability and effectiveness.

And What about Revolvers ?

By accepting such a scheme, this would probably make all of the firearms,already manufactured, unlawful to Keep and Bear as guaranteed by the second amendment; unless of course, the types of firearms becomes a new issue in the wake of the recent DC ruling as we see with machine guns and others.

This could make it okay to own handguns, as long as they have the lawful Microstamping Technology incorporated into their design.

OK, so I'm a hit-man that is stupid enough to buy one of these new guns that stamp the serial number on the fired case. I guess since I'm that stupid, I'd also leave the fired cases at the crime scene.

Obama has been accused of Plagiarism.

I've found his opinions on Gun Control coincide so closely to that of the Brady Campaign, his remarks are straight off their website.

Brady President Paul Helmke mentioned "Common Sense" Legislation in the video of the website's front page. You will also notice the Microstamping Legislation being pushed.

or just go to any shooting range, pick up a handfull of brass in the caliber you are using, and dump it at the crime scene, talk about a lab tech nightmare!
