The Brady campaign compares our so called Gun Murder rates with countries like 5 PEOPLE IN NEW ZEALAND, 37 IN SWEDEN, 56 IN AUSTRALIA, 73 IN ENGLAND AND WALES, 184 IN CANADA and 11, 344 IN THE UNITED STATES. Mind you, the Brady Campaign is a Gun Control Lobbyist group, so these numbers might be questioned.
They fail to mention the diversity of our population and the Black on Black criminal murder rates in this country. They also fail to mention :

During the same year, in 2004, the population of the U.S. was an estimated 293,655,404.
