Just like I don't think there's a perfect tool in my toolbox, I don't think I can come up with a perfect gun. Seems to me that the "perfect target shooting gun" just couldn't be the same "perfect carry gun".
Now if you could find a .45 cal handgun about the size of a 3AT, that felt like my P99 in the hand, looked as sharp as a 4" blued Python, and could hold a 1" group at 25 yards; well then I might reconsider. I'm not holding my breath. ;D
Besides, then I'd have no reason to buy more than one!

I like my pistols and revolvers to be working order, same way as my time pieces; with zero malfunctions, accurate, and reliable.
I know it's asking a lot from them, but there is some things that I just can't do without.
