For routine carry, anything over 19.4 ounces, without the mag. ;D Most of my pistols weigh less than that. My Sig weighs 10 ounces more than the PPS (19.4)and it's really noticeable. Just my personal preference to carry a lighter handgun.

My main consideration is dress. In the winter, during hunting season, I can carry my full size P99 or even the Model 27. Most often, I can carry my ppk/s without worry of printing just by leaving my shirt untucked or with a light cover garment. But on the occasions where a light shirt and plenty of movement is likely (parties / picnics), I'd like to pick up a pocket gun.

Once there was a time when I wore the shoulder harness holsters, with a light cover up. But now, I down sized my collection to smaller, lighter, and more concealable pieces on belt holsters.
