I would to have to go with S&W Model 27 in pre-lock with the steel trigger and the firing pin hammer.

Well, I only have one, so my choice is pretty easy. I've been keeping my eyes open for a nicely priced S&W 27, 28, or a python (blued) for years. I seem to be different than most, I prefer the 6"bbl. I don't plan on carrying my as a daily piece, perhaps thats the difference, as I imagine the 4" is easier to carry.

Oh Shet; I completely forgot about Colt's Python !!!!!! That is really funny. When I read your first post on the S&W 27, I thought: WHAT? My choice though is the S&W 360PD because it is so light that I carry it all the time (except when I go to the hospital & Post Office).
