Any one here ever make your own grips If so how many tries did it take you . I thinking about makeing a set for my Bersa. any suggestions.

silvershadow; That would be MLB, you can send him a Private Message if you want. The closest I ever came to making my own grips was using electrical tape on a cap pistol as a kid.

Here is the thread from MLB's DIY grips. handgunforum.proboards3.com/index.cgi?board=talking&action=display&n=1&thread=1024It is pretty time consuming if you don't have a lot of wood working experience (well actually it is pretty time consuming for those with experience too), but not terribly technical or difficult. Minimal tools are required: coping saw, sandpaper, sanders, dremel type tool highly recommended, but can be done with chisels and carving knives. The hard stuff comes in if you want to do any checking (a really cool tool will greatly help with this, but it is quite spendy, and not worth it unless you get into grips/smithing full time.) I'd imagine if you were really patient and really steady this could be done with some shop tools.

Come to think of it, I should have posted that thread here. Ah well.
Silver, it was a good project. Take a look at the thread above. It took a bunch of time, but not all that much skill.
