Sounds like a skin problem. But no. I think it's time to craft some new grips. The last ones were a fun project. Actually, I happened to be in the neighborhood of my local exotic wood shop. I stopped in and picked up a bit of Coco Bolo and during a lapse of good taste, some Purpleheart too. Something odd about naturally purple wood. Maybe it'll look good on a stainless handgun. Who am I kidding, but there's got to be someone on eBay who thinks so. ;D

A quick preview, compliments of photo editing software: Perhaps I should find another use for that wood... ;D

MLB; During a quick glance I thought you were having a Gripe Itch. The grip maker who made my Ivory grips bought two aged elephant tusks off ebay for $13,000 dollars. The tusks had been in storage since the 1940s and handed down through the family estate. I printed copies of the transactions to assist in documenting the authenticity of the grips for future reference. I often questioned how many sets of grips he could get from the two tusks, sell each set for two hundred dollars, and gain a high margin of profit from the sale of his work.

You'd certainly need to make a bunch of grips to break even.
