I was at the gun counter at a local sporting goods store yesterday as a guy was returning his Taurus 9 mm auto -- I don't know which model.
The right side of the plastic frame failed during firing. Imagine where your trigger finger would be if you extended it along the frame before firing. His finger was lower, of course, because it was inside the guard on the trigger as he fired.
He said he wound up with some bruising along his finger up to the web of his hand. He was firing factory Winchester ammo.
I mentioned Taurus had a lifetime guaranty. Typical counter guy said, "Yeah, whose life?"
