I first read about the Sig Sauer P-220 / .45 acp in 1982; this pistol was amazing and it was told that the Single Action Trigger broke 4 1/2 lbs, almost 3 lbs lighter that the Colt Govt. Model, displayed the accuracy of Colt's Gold Cup, and displayed the weight of a Colt's alloy frame Commander.
It took me almost 14 years to finally getting around to acquiring the Sig Sauer P-220. Patience often plays a big role in my gun collecting, because I found out that Sig Sauer beefed it the slide rails later on, and my pistol was the stronger version.

14 years is quite a wait. The closest I came was about 4 years for my P5c. Took me that long to find one.

I found my K-22 as I was walking out the door at the gun range; I counter guy called my brother and me in back in see the revolver and I bought it on the spot. A lot of my pieces found me, without me actually looking for them.

Ever since watching the Charles Bronson movie Death Wish III, I've wanted a Wildey. www.wildeyguns.com/Williams Shooters Supply lists 8 different models, but never has any in stock, so I'm still waiting. If I had my dealer go directly to the company, I expect I'd have to pay MSRP. I'm thinking if I don't see any come into the distributor's then I may have to go the direct to manufacturer route if I ever figure out what model/caliber that I want. If I can at least shoot the 460XVR by mid-year 2010, then I may pursue the Wildey.

Silly me, missed on a nice M27-2 with really cheesy grips this past week. Should've bought it. Went back to look at it again, it was gone.

I call this a window of opportunity, or a miscalculation of judgment. No need to worry; The cheesy grips might have showed a sure sign that something was probably wrong with the revolver, otherwise they would have the original grips. That is one way to look it ;D
