Long time no talk. How's everyone doing? Same cast of usual suspects with an updated look and feel? DA, TA, Tman, MLB, Callahan and all?
Lost the site for a while. You guys are hard to find. Well, at least for me you were.
So how are things?

Good to have you back TBT. DA rearranged the furniture, but it's the same old place.

Welcome back TBT; TMan took an unexpected absence from our forum. I think was a misunderstanding about me leaving. I have been working hard on the our forum to make things better, in that hopes when TMan returns.
I sure that I speak on the behalf everyone on our forum, that it's really good to have you back !!

Guns and religion Callahan, what else do we uneducated poor folk have?

I've talked to him, he is not lost. Just changing interests for a while. I'm sure he will find his way back should the urge strike him.

I have it on good authority that TMan has sold all his guns and has had a major political conversion. He is now a big supporter of Obama and the socialist system. Apparently he's also becoming a big shot in the Dallas-area Democrat Party. (There, if he ever check in, maybe he can confirm this.)

How do you change interests? Are we talking wearing a dress on the weekend?
Haha. Hope he does find his way back. Guy was a class act.

OH, OH, take a little sick leave and I'm outed. Actually, I need to set the record straight: I no longer wear dresses because of the weight gain since the surgery; none of my dresses fit. Therefore, I've taken to wearing sari's on the weekend. If you would like to follow "suit", here is a link to a video on how to put on a sari: www.wonderhowto.com/how-to/video/how-to-put-on-an-indian-sari-198025/ (They could have used a more attractive model.) Callahan's information was of course correct, but incomplete: I've also taken an executive position at the local ACORN chapter. With my recent medical problems, I've very much in favor of the Obama medical insurance plan. Still though, it might be better to commit some gun violation, get sent to prison, and have free food, free medical care, free utilities..., but I think the sari thing might cause problems. Since going over to the darkside I did get a new pistol, in 38 Super. This is the first gun I've gotten in 38 Super. Once I'm able to, I do plan on shooting it. No point in trying with the left hand. I still can't shoot a 22LR in the right hand without pain, which takes the enjoyment away. Oddly enough, I am able to shoot a rifle, as long as there isn't any recoil. I bought a SIG556003, which comes with the Sig Sauer red-dot, which I'm not overly fond of (the red-dot, I love the rifle). I also picked up a Wilson Combat AR15, but haven't attempted to shoot it yet. Yes, there is a "big chicken" outside Marietta, GA - moi. The pain with the kidney stone was much more severe, but only lasted 6 hours. At least after 3 months of sleeping in a chair, I'm able to now sleep in a bed with an extra pillow under my shoulder. My wife talked me into buying a new matress, and that helps out too, but $1400 for a stinking matress, you can get a decent 1911 for that. We are still in the middle of the house remodeling project, but finally got all the granite and marble installed. I got back to the doctor's office on Jan 18th and hopefully I'll be told I can do some things like painting and shooting (not necessarily in that order).

Thanks, and I just realize if this thread was read by someone that didn't know me, they might think I was serious about being in favor of the Obama Medical atrocity. Actually, I can't think of anything about Obama's plans that I'm in favor of doing.

TMan; That is one fancy Gold Cup. I might be mistaken, but, it looks to be a collectors piece.

DA, you are probably right that it is a collector's piece.
My intentions were to shoot it, but I'm a little worried about the gold plated bushing on the front of it. The hammer won't be a problem because I don't really need to touch it.
Well, I have at least another month to decide.

Good to see you back TBT and TMan! Nice .38 Super! I would guess that is a Talo? I thought I saw something similar offered recently by them.

TA, you are correct it is the TALO Distributor Colt. I doubt if I'll ever buy another 1911 unless it is a TALO. The problem I have with TALO is they don't always list their products on their web-site. For example the current XSE Dragon isn't listed on their site. I think it is ugly and won't be getting it.
