That is a natural fact; The only place that I can carry on a conversation with about firearms. I tried to join other forums but they are full of those who like to patronize your every move or question your presence on their forum or make silly remarks.
I feel a lot of comfort on this proboard forum.

The Walther forum is very civilized. The Handgunforum.com is another place I check, but it's rather busy and prone to a couple ban-happy mods.

I used to visit a lot of different forums, but have slowly dwindled down to a couple. The same issues kept coming up, over and over again, almost daily. I'll visit other forums for troubleshooting and usually can find the solution without even posting, just searching. I'll have some new presents coming in a few days, and a kinda funny story to go with them.  |

G Every time that I was banned from a Forum, it was because one silly patronizing punk that was clueless about the subject of firearms. Most them spent all their time on the General Category of the Forum. While Moderators will Email me about my temporary Ban, I will respond with His Heavy Handed Tactics or refer to his as being a "Hard Ahss" while wearing silk stockings. In the end, I have told them to stuff thier forum where the sun don't shine, in a fewer words at is possible. The S&W Forum is a friendly group of gentlemen, very cordial, polite, and very educated about handguns. |

Usually larger forums (especially The Firing Line and the M&P) just make me laugh when I see the childish antics and pissing contests. Then I realize these people are armed and it isn't quite so funny any more.

The sad fact of at all, They like to think they are on the genius level. Here's one : Independent Thnker : "I too am tired of the ignorant and insensitive rantings of Double Action. I am just as tired of the paper giving this character free reins while restricting the comments of others." DoubleAction : How about informing us ignorants what a “Thnker” is ? |

With my sense of humor, and lack of sense, you would think I would have been banned a lot, but I never have been. I guess it is because I don't frequent other boards.
Several years ago I joined a 1911 board, and after a few posts, I used the word "sucked" as a verb like: "it sucked it in". I got demerit points for that because using the word sucked was considered profanity. After a few e-mails to the moderator, and his refusal to use the gray matter between his ears (maybe it was brown matter in his case), and his refusal to remove my demerit points, I never went back to the forum.
