First, I apologize for the picture, but I can't find any of my compact flash cards, which both the Nikon and Canon use. They used to be in the downstairs desk, which no longer exists. Sam's Club doesn't have them anymore and both of the local camera places have gone out of business. Therefore, I'm taking pictures with my iPhone.
Model Number: 91149 cz-usa.com/products/view/sa-target/
The Sportingarms price on this is $1062, which isn't far from the MSRP of $1099.
The gun comes with a CZ Custom Shop cover over the outside box. I wasn't too wild about that, but then I opened the box. The look of the grips can not be blamed on the iPhone. Unlike the picture on their web-site, there is this little white, smeared logo on the corners. The sights are good: adjustable Novak on the rear and Fiber optic on the front. The older I get the more I like fiber optic front sights.
The gun came with a test firing sheet, which wasn't all that impressive. It did state that with a spring tension gauge, the trigger measured 3 lbs. No specifications were given about how the gun was fired. From the sheet, I hope it was off-hand.
There isn't any checkering on the front nor on the rear strap. It is not drilled and tapped for an optic mount. The magazine well is not beveled. (These were all on the EAA Witness Elite Limited).
The owners manual is the standard CZ-75 manual without even an addendum for the modifications made by the Custom Shop.
One positive: it came with two magazines, which seems a little rare these days.
The trigger has quite a bit of take-up, perhaps it is adjustable - I'll check the manual. Oh thats right, I don't have a manual that matches the gun.
When I picked it up, the comment was: "That is a lot of money for that gun." She was right, for what you get, it was a lot.
How will it shoot? Well, if it gives me a dime size hole at 25 yards for 10 rounds, it still won't change my opinion, which is: Don't waste your money. You can get a EAA Witness Elite Limited, model number 600310 for $953, and you get a lot more for your money. www.eaacorp.com/handguns-witness-elite-limited-description.html
Prices are as I write this, and are widely subject to change. For the 6 distributors that I track, there were 4,168 price increases on guns on Tuesday. That averages out to 695 guns per distributor.
