The gun has arrived, and although it fits the specifications, I'm quite disappointed. It is not listed under the "Witness Elite" section of their web-site, but they do say that it came from the Custom Shop. I expected the trigger to be equal to what the Elite triggers are, but no, it is just like the CZ75 triggers: lots of creep.
However, the day wasn't a complete waste because I also picked up a Xiongshi JAD12 Single Barrel Shotgun NIB for $70.
I'm not too excited about shooting the Hunter until I have the time to do a good trigger job on it, and no way am I shooting a 12GA single shot until my shoulder heals. However, I will shoot the Hunter just to ensure it works properly before I dive into it. At least I plan on shooting it if it ever stops raining. This has to be one of the coldest and wettest winters I've seen in the 20 years I've lived in the Lone Star state.

Christ Tman, how many guns do you own now?
I liked my witness that I had just hated the caliber so I don't have it anymore.

You sound like my wife!!! I have one less than what I want. Besides, the guns aren't a problem - they don't need new roofs. In the past 5 years I had to put new roofs on both of the houses in New York, the house I live here in Texas (it got a polymer one), and now the other house here in Texas needs a new roof. Getting back to the Hunter: Since I had RO duty this morning, I did take the Hunter to the range. I don't think I mentioned it, but it is 45ACP. Like with the MK23, I was a little nervous since it was 45 vs. 9mm. However, my shoulder has come a long way, but I did get 25 rounds through it, before my shoulder told me that was enough. Although I really notice the creep when I dry-fire the gun, I didn't notice it while I was shooting it. The other thing was probably because of its size and weight: I didn't notice any recoil. Here is a picture of it (upstairs granite MLB): This is the target with 25 rounds through it at 7 yards: Crap, the picture is rotated 270 0 The two rounds at the left should be at the top, and they were the first two that I fired. The one on the right was a little flinch on my part on the last magazine. It was then that I decided 25 rounds were enough for today. Notice the 4 holes on the side of the frame? They are angled to force the gases backward, which reduces the recoil. Going to let me get away with that? ;D
