This is the picture from Cabela's web-site. It is hard to tell from the picture how really small that it is. I'll take my own pictures later along with a standard size gun. It would look good next to the Walker, but unless you have seen and held a Walker, you still don't realize how big it is, and how small this thing is.
Cabela's didn't have what I wanted on Saturday, but did have this on sale for $179. Before buying it, I checked to see if they had any lead BB's and they did, so I bought a box of 250 and 200 of the 209 shotgun primers.
This was my first experience with shotgun primers. Holy Cow they are loud. I definitely should have been wearing ear protection. My ears were ringing for half-an-hour after the first shot.
The documentation leaves a lot to be desired. There was a little tool with it that I fortunately figured out was an aid to loading the caps. Trying it with my fingers at first was difficult.
This is not a toy. The BB comes out of there very fast. On my first shot, I aimed at a distant large boulder to see if it would get that far. It did, bouced off it and by the ripples, I could tell that it ended up in the swimming pool. You could really hurt yourself with it.
My second shot was at an empty soda can, and the BB went clear through it.
I will take it to the range, in fact I think I'll take it quite a bit until I see someone with a crono, and I'll use it to see just how fast this little BB is traveling.
Why did I buy it? Because it was there? Because it was on sale? Well, my neighbor across the street gave me one of those little air powered horns. I tried it on the ducks, and they ignored it. However, if I cup my hands and clap them it makes a little sound somewhat like a gunshot. That scares them off. So all I have to do with this is put in a cap, stick it out the window, and bam the ducks will think someone is shooting at them. My crappy problem is solved.
Note: if you decide to get one of these, hold it carefully. Hot gas does come out of the side. Fortunately for me, I had a bandaid on my index finger from a little slide contact the other day with a different pistol. The bandaid turned black.
