Taking notice to the animated trigger, it is important to note the location of the disconnector with the sear and trigger stirrup, as the disconnector rises into the recess of the slide's center rail, when the side goes into battery. This is another safety incorporated into the 1911, in order to prevent the pistol from firing until the slide is in full battery.
