I read your thread with great interest, but the hammer following the slide concerned me - well, the fix concerned me. Apparently they just reformed (bent) the sear spring.
I don't like the owner's manual for "this" pistol. There isn't any mention of the EMP that I could find. Apparently it is covered in "Section 4" as a "micro-compact". S&W does this with their revolvers too: one manual for all the models.
At least the Sig P238 came with a manual (all 58 pages in English) that was written for the P238. Of course it would only be 5 pages without all the "Warnings". One thing I did find interesting in the Sig manual was in the Troubleshooting Guide because it probably would apply to any semi-auto pistol: Under the malfunction: "Slide does not close easily or completely", they state: "Pistol or cartridge is fouled (dirty) or pistol is too heavily lubricated." I never thought about it before, but I can see where too much oil, even without the associated dirt after firing, could cause the slide, or anyother part, to be sluggish.

I'm EMPeeing all over the target. ;D I know a .45 in a compact is a handful to shoot. I like to enjoy my shooting sessions so the 9MM works great. If I need to do some serious social work a .45 is still the way to go. Unless I have a shotgun or a rifle. ;D

ironhorse; I have a Colt Defender, with the 3" inch barrel, in .45acp, and I did some work on it. Your right about getting the slide stop back in. Don't let somebody tell you that the recoil of the 3"barrel is the same as the 5" barrel, because its not. The travel distance is same, until you get past grip well area. That is the reason that some call the 3" barrels "Short Recoils". I don't how much that you already about the 1911, but if you find anything ** Never let the hammer fall, with the slide removed We have plenty on the 1911 pistols here and we have also have another website that allows us to post our own photo galleries.Just apply to be a member. DA I was kinda of late getting on the 1911 bandwagon. I picked up my first in 1994. It was a Colt Commander light weight from 1977 which appeared to be new. It belonged to a gunsmith who was ill and his family was selling off his guns. I knew him by name and figured he bought it as a safe queen. Something about the gun said buy me now despite the high asking price. No regrets on that purchase. I also have and Officer's MKIV a RIA and a 80 series which I converted to 9MM. I just had to have a Colt 9MM so I made it a project gun. Not to say I don't have other .45's as in S&W 745/945. The 945 is the best of the bunch. The RIA is used for hardball or for .22 conversion units which I have a Colt and a Advantage Arms. I think I have it about covered except for all the other goodies the past 40 years has allowed me to accumulate. ironhorse
