I asked for few things out my Elected Officials; Safeguard my rights, don't penalized my rights for the misdeeds and misconduct of others, promote my rights, and never question my rights. If that is asking too much out of a candidate, I won't cast my vote for that person.
SB 396 - Crimes; person who is attacked has no duty to retreat; provide immunity from prosecution

One of the State Representatives who voted "NAY" (NO) on the Bill, was Gail Buckner from Georgia's 76th District. Since then; She has move up to become our State Senator and now, she is running for Georgia's Secretary of State.
I became friends with Gail, on Facebook, to finally confront her as to why she voted NAY on this important and overdue piece of legislature..
This was the answers given to me :
Me : Gail; Whats wrong with NOW ?
I was force fed to vote for you, our State Senator, because no other choice. I will tell you as I tell all of the other candidates.... See More
Is it also true that you are a Lifetime Member of The NAACP ?
If so, How can you cater you support to NAACP and NRA, while voting against State Bills like this one : Castle Law : SB 396
By the way Gail; I had no reason to believe that you support our rights to bear arms for self protection. Lets talk about the reasons why you voted NAY on The Castle Law : SB 396 .
For those who don't know Gail; She is my State Senator and at one time, she was one of our State Representatives in Clayton County, when The Castle Law came up in our Georgia General Assembly in -2006.
She finally took the bait ;D ;D
Gail Buckner :

Oscar, you didn't mention that I believe in a person's right to bear arms and protect themselfs. You also didn't mention the bills that I voted for to improve the ability to bear arms and you didn't mention that I have always received a high rating from the NRA. You and all citizens are always welcome to call me to h...ear why I vote for or against any bill- 77-473-9039

Gail Buckner :
That is correct. I was re-elected to the Georgia House for the 2005 - 06 term with almost 91 percent of the vote. I voted against SB 396 because it is already legal for persons to protect themselves. Police officers asked me to vote against this bill becuase they were concerned that bill went too far and would put their lives in danger. I have also found high ratings from the NRA, but I approach every billl with a new perspective on what is best for our citizens. 770-473-9039

The Clayton County Police Cheif Jeff Turner on State Firearm License Permit Holders :
"County to Address C-TRAN Use, New Gun Laws"
Clayton County Police Chief Jeff Turner said addressing the increased number of C-TRAN riders has been complicated by the fact that in May, Gov. Sonny Perdue signed into law House Bill 89, which greatly expands the rights of registered gun owners to bring guns into restaurants and onto public transit. The bill became effective on July 1.
"I really wish they would have not passed that law," said Turner. "I think it's going to make our job even more trying, because of the propensity of having even more weapons on the streets.
"So many people want to carry a gun for safety, but they don't want to take the time to train how to properly use a handgun, so that presents a higher safety risk," Turner continued. He said he is currently in discussions with C-TRAN officials about having uniformed and plain-clothes officers "sporadically ride C-TRAN for added protection."
"We're not expecting trouble ... but people with guns on the bus can add to our problem," said Turner. "We have to realize that it is here and we have to deal with it."

Turner Follow Ups To Provide Protection From State License Firearms Permit Holders.
"Police ride C-Tran, Keep Things Safe, Quiet"
The policy also follows the change in state law allowing concealed guns on buses, with registration. During the arguments about the law, both those for and against concealed weapons on public transit talked about danger on the buses, and the lack of police presence.
Today, the insides of the C-Tran buses bear a list of rules, including the commands not to "carry weapons [except firearms when carrying a valid permit]" and not to "assault the driver."
"Nowadays, with so many people having guns, you just never know," Brown said. "Thankfully, thank God, we have had no major incidents on the bus. This is just part of patrolling ... People are trying to go to work or trying to go home, and if that's you on the bus, would you want to be held up because some people are being stupid?"
