Gov. Perry shot a coyote with his Ruger LCP. So Ruger came out with a special "Coyote Special". It looks like it is just painted on to the slide. I wouldn't dare clean the slide. I won't shoot it either since I have the plain jane model. This is just a collector's item for crazy Texans. Incidentally, I weighed my LOADED carry guns today. The Ruger LCP was the lightest, and had 6 rounds vs. my S&W J-frame, which only had 5. However, 380's vs. 357 Magnum? If I'm going to downtown Fort Worth, I'll carry the S&W. Here are some other pictures a guy took: The spec sheet is at: www.ruger.com/products/lcpDE/specSheets/3708.htmlIncidentally, these are not easy to find. I got mine at Academy, and I hope it wasn't too much more than MSRP.

I can understand limited edition / special edition firearms, but not on a utilitarian BUG. A bit like an engraved screwdriver.

Do I need to post a picture of my engraved Jennings? ;D
Oh, and I do have the Craftsman gold plated open end wrenches complete in wooden case.

In my opinion, Perry's story has a less than 50% chance of being true. Like the pistol, though. I have a Kel-Tec 3AT. It's the gun Ruger copied when they made the LCP. I visited Ruger's website when they introduced the LCP. The parts diagram there looked very familiar to me. They later took it down.
