That would be interesting to see. My son has a clear plastic S&W4506 that's fun to "toy" with.
I looked at a ppk/s airgun years ago that advertised a recoiling slide. Seems to me that using the (rather expensive) air power in the cartridge to move the slide just for looks was a waste.

Hate being disagreeable, but I don't agree for the following reason: I bought the PPK with the moving slide because shooting it felt more like practicing with the real PPK. It is heavy, so it feels like the real deal too. My mistake was that it was a BB shooter, not a pellet. It is not accurate.
Contrary to the subject line, I don't think what is shown is considered an "airsoft". I may be wrong, but I think that airsoft guns have to have the orange indicator on the front of the barrel.

Hate being disagreeable, but I don't agree for the following reason: I rather enjoy it when you're disagreeable. It usually means I have some thing wrong. ;D I can see how the moving slide is more realistic, but the whole experience (with or without a moving slide) is so far removed from firing a .380 to make it impractical for training with the ppk/s. Much better for knocking small things down and bringing a smile to my face.

Good thing you like me being disagreeable. I don't see any difference between shooting the PPK/s with BB's and shooting either of my PPK/s (22LR and 32ACP) other than recoil and noise. How is that different than shooting say a Sig P220 with a 22LR conversion unit?
I like my P220 in 22LR, but I never liked the Sig Mosquito very much - didn't feel right. Also I have that Kimber 1911 in 22LR and it doesn't feel right because of the light weight.
I've seen several TV programs where they feature an AR that is shooting 22LR via a conversion unit. The owner said that he liked it because the trigger and balance were the same and practice was much cheaper.

Having a discussion with someone that agrees with you on nearly every point is much like talking to yourself; you learn very little and people look at you funny. Much better for me to consider a well stated opposing opinion, and I do appreciate it from all of the folks here.
I should admit that I never did fire the air-powered ppk/s, but I've had plenty of air powered triggertime with other models, and it's nothing like touching off a .380 in that little gun. I think I'd prefer using the air in those cartridges to sling more BB's as opposed to theatrics.
Similarly, I'd rather buy a .22 rifle or handgun that was designed for that chambering than a conversion. Practicing proficiency in .45cal by shooting .22s may have some benefits, but the dynamics after the pin hits the primer is apples and oranges. Maybe it's half practice.

I have a Airsoft pistol is modeled after the Sig Sauer P-228, it features the functional decocker, the double/single trigger, and the same size is as the original P-228; it seems to be molded from the same pistol. This pistol also features the removable magazine and functional slide.
These pistols are great for replicated live fire scenarios for the training of law enforcement. A few years ago, we had one Deputy that killed another while using blanks in his duty revolver; They were supposed be using blanks, but the Deputy loaded wadcutters in his revolver and killed the other officer. Of course, it was considered to be accident, and the Deputy went on to become the Chief Deputy Commander of the county.
