Other than political posts, I may be a bit quiet for awhile. I've gotten a new interest: air guns and working on them. Somebody, don't remember who, perhaps Midway, had a sale on a RWS rifle. I bought it. It put the pellet all the way through my foam target block and completely buried itself in a board behind it. With my Beeman pistol the pellet doesn't exit the block.
I received my Crosman 2300S in the mail today, and guess what - it has a creepy trigger. Life is full of challenges. So now I get to do a trigger job on it.
The 1377c is breaking at 2lbs, but I'm going to order the spring and adjustment assembly from the 2300 because it will fit on the 1377c. There are a ton of aftermarket parts for the 1377. You can easily spend several hundreds of dollars in order to upgrade a $50 pistol.
I've found out that you can shoot a deer with an air rifle.

I think Louis & Clark used an air rifle of some sort on their voyage across the country.

are you shooting .22 or .177 or both? I'm sure you've seen them too, but I've seen them listed at muzzle speeds of 1000+fps. Like so many hobbies, you can spend a lot or a little. Back in the day when I shot air rifles a little, Weihrauch was a good name in air rifles.

I love air guns. I think I would like to have one of those whispers? G
