I was on the CZ-USA web-site and viewed a video of the field stripping of the CZ-83. It is very similar to the PPK/s, you pull down the trigger guard on both. However, from the video it appears that when you pull it down on the CZ, it stays down. On the PPK, I remember holding it off to one side in order to get it to stay down i.e. the CZ appears to me to be a nicer design. Anyone have one that can speak from experience? cz-usa.com/products/view/cz-83/

Don't know anything about them, though I was marveling over a 1.5-pound .32 auto (their specs). That's definitely Old School these days!

I thought you had a Cz83? I have Cz82 (which is a used military version of the 83, but with a polgonal rifled barrel, chambered in 9x18). 5OT, you are right - I do have one. I forgot about it. I've got to get organized. I was looking at the CZ-USA web-site and noticed the pistol there. I then went to Becky's web-site and did a search on CZ-USA with a parameter of 83. It showed 6 hits, and I didn't notice that one of the 6 was 32ACP. The others are all 380, and since I didn't have any 380's until recently, I assumed I didn't have one. I was thinking about getting one, but fortunately I logged onto this forum first. Following the link you gave me, convinced me that I don't want another one. I owe you big time. Come to Dallas, not only will I take you shooting - I'll buy you dinner at an excellent Mexican restaurant.

Tman, if I find my way down to Texas, I'd love to spend a day shooting more than guns with you. Mexican food is one of my favorites too.
