Just an interesting picture I came upon. There are loads of them at Shorpy.com if you're into old architecture as I am. Smith & Wesson Factory Springfield, Mass. 1908 www.shorpy.com/node/9781

Pretty cool to see the close ups of the workers in the windows. .... if you're into old architecture as I am. Can't say I know much about it, but I do like to look at it. That is one of the reasons I live in this old farmhouse. It is an old structural brick house that we are still (and will likely never finish) remodeling/restoring. Living here puts a different perspective on an old house. I hear some people say they live in an old house from the 1950's. This old house predates that by more than 100yrs. Then again, we had a German exchange student attending the same high school that I did, and his view on old buildings is from a different perspective. The "historic" section of town, people put plaques in their yard noting the house was 100yrs old, and his comment was 100yrs isn't that old. The school building that he attended in Germany was more than 200yrs older than the USA.
