One thing I didn't mention about the forend is that it allows the barrel to float. It won't make any noticeable difference on my AR, but it is a handy feature on rifles meant for hitting targets at a greater range.
The EoTech is a very fun accessory on the range. I may get another for my Mossberg, the shotgun that is beside me every night. I like the ability to use the sight in low-light environments.
