Well, I finally broke down and bought a new camera body. I struggled between the Nikon D3X and the D700, but the 700 has built in flash, and the difference in price would leave me enough for some quality 1911's (or one Ed Brown that should be here soon). I've thought that the internals of some pistols were complex, but nothing like the complexity of the D700, and that is just from a user standpoint. A 444 page manual, and all in English. The good news is that it works with all my old 35mm lenses. I wonder how long it will be before I get to take my first picture. So far I figured out how to set the date and time.

If anyone has the subject matter for some terrific pictures, you do. Looking forward to the new art!

.....With the computer screen, that I have, I don't know if the brightness my photos are coming out correctly.
.....The Gun Photos is what brings more visitors to the forum....If you allowed to post the link........On facebbok, when you post the link, the picture will show up with the topic.
....I have a unlimited image account with photobucket, and I have given some thought to allowing members to post pictures on our back up forum, then I could transfer them over to photobucket to be posted on this forum.

.....This is our photo area, of our backup Forum : .....You can upload Photos, directly from you computer to here with no cost.....but....like here....you have to join. The membership is free and I will help with posting the Photos. ......I also have a facebook account, which would allow facebook members to post their photo link here, so that I could retrieve the photo and use my photobucket account to post the photo on this forum. ....Maybe it's about time to have a category on taking gun photos and posting the same Gun Photos on the Internet Forums ?

I have used tinypic in the past, but it appears that after awhile they get deleted.
I need something that won't get deleted.

......TMan; You can join the back up forum or facebook and upload the photos from a computer file.......Then, I will be happy to start a Forum Member Photo File on my photobucket image service.
.....I always save my gun photos on CD.
....My Photobucket service in unlimited to the amount of photos.
....When I changed over from Village Photos, I might still run across these blank images and I have to modify to thread or post.

Imageshack is a bit odd. Some pictures I have hosted there have been there for years. Others disappear. Can't complain about free though.

DA, what software do you use for editing your pictures? I bought Nikon Capture NX 2, but I'm not sure how good it is. I just haven't had enough time to look at it. I have plumber hat on.

TMan; I use the edit tools on my Photobucket Albums...Sometimes I might use Windows Image Photo Tools.....For This One, I use Photobucket to retain the URL. .....You can also use the Photo Edit Tools that came with your Camera.
