The rumor is that the Ford workers, that are in "dire need of a pay raise", many go on strike. This means that if you plan to buy a Ford in the future, it will be made in China, or you will pay a lot more money for it.
When I worked in Utica, NY, I had a friend that was a plant manager. What his plant did was to take car batteries and extract the lead from them (you have probably shot bullets made from this lead).
The union came in and the workers joined the union and decided to go on strike. If they did, my friend said that he would lock the doors and move the operation to another state. They did - he did. They got to collect unemployment insurance. Another great victory for the labor unions.

...TMan; If the State Labor Departments would enforce the State Labor Laws, we wouldn't have no need for Labor Unions.
.....Georgia is a right to work State, with that said; We are having employers that refuses to give layoff slips, dismissal slips, termination slips, vacations, pay for holidays, and refuses to co-operate with job injuries cases. In other words; The employees has no rights whatsoever, not even to unemployment insurance. A worker can with the same employer for 20 years and be kick to curb with absolutely nothing.
...Most Labor Unions in Georgia are here to protect the employers from the State Labor Laws, but now, these State Laws are being ignored by the State Labor Department, Why ?........Unqualified State Workers at the Labor Departments.
...Corruption is on all levels of the Labor Forces in our Nation.

Seems like it would make sense to tie wages to profits.

Seems like it would make sense to tie wages to profits. ....Profit Sharing Plan, where the company matches every dollar that the workers placing into the plan......The more profits, more the match. Everyone will become a Share Holder in the company that contributes to the plan. ....This plan is not to be confused with the 401k plan.
