I've been playing musical guns and the box that I thought contained the MR SP-21 actually had the MR Baby Eagle.
Magnum Research has been bought out by Kahr Arms and is making the Baby Eagle, which is a clone of the CZ-75, again. I have no idea about the quality of the current production. Mine was made in 2003 by IMI in Israel.
My complaint about the CZ-75 is that everyone I've touched had a creepy, gritty trigger. I own two of them in 9mm and 22LR, both need trigger jobs. It is possible to get a good trigger because I do have a special edition from their Custom Shop, and it has a excellent trigger.
Since it has been years since I shot the Baby Eagle, I cocked it and pulled the trigger (yes, I double checked to ensure it wasn't loaded; if I have an AD, I will be DOA i.e. my wife will kill me). I was quite pleased at the results, and tried it several times with the same results. It was not at all gritty, but was a little heavier than the EAA Witness Elites that are made in Italy.
If someone gets to dry-fire a new production Baby Eagle, I'd really be interested to know what their impression is concerning the feel of the trigger.

So, Cz75 and the clones, your preference is for the EAA witness?

So, Cz75 and the clones, your preference is for the EAA witness? No, no, no, not the EAA Witness, the EAA Witness Elite. There is a lot of difference between the two. Unfortunately, they aren't all that easy to obtain. Well, got to run, but drive slowly. I can imagine being stopped and the officer says: "Sir, it shows you have a Concealed Handgun License. Do you have a handgun with you?" Yeah, there are 42 in the back. I don't think it would go well. ;D
