While up at Becky's yesterday, I had an opportunity to convince a guy to buy the 1911 Tacpac. I must admit that I was quite impressed with the package and with a price tag of < $1000. What impressed me the most was the size of the laser that goes on the rail. We compared it to a Les Baer Premier II that cost much more and the Sig appeared to be a real bargain. The trigger was good, whereas the trigger on the Les Baer had some creep. He also looked at a Colt that had a rail, but lacked the front strap checkering and all the other goodies that came with the Sig. I don't own a Sig 1911, but if hadn't bought it, I would.

That is a nice low profile laser they've got for it.

5OT, I was amazed at how small that it was. Note from the picture that it isn't attached to the gun; if it was, it would appear even smaller.
Seriously, I think Sig has a real winner with this laser. As I set previously, had he not bought it, I would have done so myself, and that was because of 1) the good trigger, and most of all 2) the laser.
