Watch this space: ;D
I just got tired of thinking about it and ordered it. I now have one less thing to think about. Now if I could only remember what else I was supposed to think about.

I like the wood grips. The JM branding is a bit over the top for my taste, but it'll probably help the sales. Something a bit more reserved would have been better.

Model 627 I believe in 357. My dream gun which I am saving my pennies for . I have held one of these in my paws and fell in LOVE with it on the spot. They still wanted $1200. used for it up here altho it was hardly fired. I want the 5.5" barrel version myself. I believe you get 2 sets of grips with it as well in the box. Its a Eight shot revolver and almost a twin to the 625 with exception to the calibre and a few other small things.

Finally got around to picking it up today. The JMs on the grips are barely visible. I don't know how they got them to show up that well in the picture.
The grips feel very good in my hand (unlike the factory ones on the python }
It comes with 5 moon clips, and has the "gold dot" front site. I have no idea where my trigger gauge (or any other of my tools) is, but the trigger feels really good.
I'm glad that I went for the JM version. What I find interesting is that it didn't come out of the Performance Center.
Bluegrass, I have a 627 that I bought several years ago. I did put the wooden grips on it, mainly for looks, but I found that the recoil wasn't any worse with it. What I don't like is the 8 round cylinder. The more holes there are in a cylinder, the more there are to clean.
They are available. Becky has them new for: "SM170210 S&W 627 5" SS 8-SHOT PERFORMANCE CENTER .357 MAG Revolver $993.00 "
Note that it is out of the Performance Center. If I have a choice, I prefer guns from the Performance Center. However, both my S&W 460XVR and 500 both have excellent triggers.

.....At the 1999 S.H.O.T. Show, in Atlanta, my brother bought about 5 sets of grips from Jerry Miculek. At the time, Jerry Miculek was married to Kay Clark of Clark Custom Guns. Johnny Rowlands was at the Clark booth, and while I was talking with Johnny about his 460 Rowland conversion set up, my brother was talking with Jerry Miculek.
....Johnny Rowland, The Clarks, and Georgia Arms has a relationship with each other, especially with the 460 Rowland. The Clarks make the conversion and Georgia Arms loads the 460 Rowland Cartridge ( Starline Brass makes the Cartridge Case ).
......To make a long story shorter, the Jerry Miculek Grips are too thin for my hand grip. The one size fits all, don't always work. Then I thought that the grips are made for Jerry Miculek's hand and not for mine ;D
