It is getting close to 6 months since she ordered it, so I had Becky check on the status of the order. They are now showing a date of 12/31/2012. That kind of sucks and I'm wondering if they just plugged that in because they don't know when they will be getting any of them. Notice the Beavertail on this puppy. I shouldn't get hammer bite with this one: They say 4lbs trigger pull. I'd prefer 3, but I can live with 4 as long as it is crisp. .....Before I began installing up swept beavertails on my 1911s, I would come off of the range with blood running down my hand., and this was using the narrow slotted commander hammers.
....I always lightly polish the beavertails, to minimize friction in the web of my grip.

DA, it took me a few minutes to grasp what you we saying. So if I understand you correctly, it was the web of you hand that was getting cut.
What happens to me is the very tip of the P210 hammer gets me about 1/2" in from the web. I could bob the hammer, but I don't know how that would look.
The other thing is the one that I have came with fixed sights. The Legend has adjustable sights. I think I'll enjoy shooting it and comparing it to some of the comparable guns.
The grips in the picture are different than mine, but it looks like it is just cosmetic.

...TMan; The standard Grip Safety, on the 1911, was digging into the web of my grip. I hold my handguns very high to the axis of the bore line, no matter if the handgun is a semi-auto or a revolver. On the Colt 1911, the grip safety turns down : Before After
