My only input is that I should have bought one when they could be had for $150.

They look to be a better grade of the Tokeroff which I believe are 9.25 mm pistol. A bunch of the guys at my club have them and the gun as well as the ammo are very cheap. Kinda weird looking bullet they use. No safety on them either if they are the same one.

True Russian Maks are becoming much more collector's items when compaired to others, like Bulgairian. Well, they are all going up in value. (not that hard, when they could be had for $150 a few years ago, as MLB mentioned). Russian versions are running around $300-$350 now, Bulgarians are about $100 less. I haven't seen a Chinese or East/German version for sale in quite some time. The Polish P64 is often called a Makarov, but it is not a true Mak. It does shoot the 9x18, 9mm Makarov round though. Same goes for the Hungarian PA63.

The main reason we don't get the Makarov pistol up here is due to the barrel length which is less then 4.1 inchs long. Still haven't seen one with a safety altho they now advertise that they do have them on the imports. 4.1 inchs is a cutoff line for what we can have up here in Canada as anything shorter is not allowed at all. We buy these for around $179.95 up here.
