MLB, your shot would be dead-center. However, I would not call the Ruger an Entry-Level pistol because of all the features it has. The only thing "entry-level" about it is the price.

....With the variety manufactures producing the 1911 pistols, with all of the bells & whistles already done, this would be a hard shot to call.
......Settling for cheaper made inferior grade pistol would be a waste of money, and this waste could go towards the purchase of a much better pistol.
...On the other hand; Having a pistol made your own way, is very attempting & attractive. I look for several things : The Barrel, The Slide, The Frame, The Steel, The Manufacturer, The Fit, The Finish, and The Cost. I have always been lucky with the Colts, but, this was before all of others jumped on the 1911 bandwagon. .....My advice is to place the pistol into your hand and feel the weight. Make a comparison between different manufactures. The pistol should have a solid feel to it.
