My Kimber Pro Carry II is my first venture into the 1911 world. It has a 4" bbl, full size grip, an aluminum frame, and tritium night sights.
I really love how this thing shoots. Quite accurate for me. It has become my nightstand weapon -- and my carry weapon in coat wearing weather.
No problems so far after 500+ rounds. Any comments on the Kimbers from you guys??

Welcome Back Ricochet; My brother had a Kimber Pro Carry II and I used to detail clean it for him. I fired the pistol a few times and found to be quite accurate. The four inch barrel, for me, mounted on a Officer's size frame, was kinda like having a Commander and a Officer's lightweight frame all wrapped up it own package.

I really like the Kimbers. I hear they have to most modern production machinery. If I got one, it would have to be in something other and .45 -- I don't want to add a 6th caliber (handgun) to my collection!
One thing, you don't have to lie awake at night, wondering: "Is my pistol caliber big enough to stop an intruder?"

Ha! Six calibers? I am at three: .38/.357, 9mm, and .45acp. Oh. that doesn't count my 12 gage.

I know you all have a .22 around somewhere too...
9mm, .380auto, .357/.38spc, .40S&W. Looks like 5 centerfire handgun for me. Didn't realize that I'm getting up there with you guys.

When I took this picture, I had thoughts about center fire calibers, and then after I posted it this afternoon, thought about my .22 rimfires. I have three Buckmarks, one S&W 17 revolver, and one Ruger 10/22 which chambers the .22 LR. Everybody should own at least one .22 rimfire.

While I was taking the liberty of detailing my brother's Kimber, I also took upon myself to do the usual internal polishing of the trigger components and tweaking the sear spring. I also polished the pins.
