We had this discussion this morning at my club and no-body has any problem getting ammo up here at all. I have at least 3000 rounds of 22LR in stock at all times and could buy the same again to-morrow if I wanted to. Mostly CCI and Federal. Primers, lead bullets, caseings or fresh ammo is readily available. Some of our guys are going to start bringing extra with them when they visit your area's on holidays. Dosen't matter if its handgun or rifle as we have tons of it up here due to No panic situation at all. Don't know if I could legally ship it to you other members as I would if allowed.

I was in a sporting goods store buying a fishing license and glanced over at their ammo cabinet. It was empty, but then I spotted a few white boxes on the bottom shelf. There were a couple bulk packs of .40 and .45 acp. I commented that it was amazing that they had ammo. The clerk replied that those arrived, and were put out this morning and that was all that was left. This was at 10:00 in the morning.
I bought 2 boxes.

I wonder if any member living close to the border could cross over and make a bulk purchase. I would suggest getting together with a group of friends and making a bulk purchase from here. Everybody could split the cost of fuel and end up stocked up quite well I suspect out of it. Just a suggestion that may help some of your folks out.

Living just south of Niagara Falls, I head into Canada often enough. I'd never thought about bringing ammo back. Not sure how that would fly with immigration and customs. Interesting to look into though.

I would call Canada Customs to find out if they will allow it as its one way of getting stocked up with all of your needs in one trip if allowed. You could probably make a buck or 2 from selling it to your friends. Any profit is better in your pocket then someone else's.

My pistol ammo is getting down near the preppers minimum, and my .22lr for that matter.
Blueglass, you've got me thinking and wondering....How much is a box (50rds) of .45acp, 9mm and .22lr (500rd plinker box, and 50rd target)?
There were a number of sellers at the last gunshow, but I didn't see many buyers of .22lr $75 for 500rd bulk plinker.

The 45 ACP which I own as well can be had for less then $30.00, I was paying around $26.00 for reloads. Started doing my own about a year ago now. Get me away from the bride and out to the shop. The CCI 22lr I am still buying here for $32.95 per brick. The Federal decent stuff can be had for a box of 525 at Walmart for around $22.00. Blazer around $25.00 Remington "Yuck" for a about $22.00 abox I suspect. This is in Canadian Funds so you are ahead already.

I've bought ammo from MidwayUSA before when I couldn't get it locally. However, I notice now that they no longer allow backorders on ammo.
I have enough to last me for awhile with the exception of .380 I didn't realize how low I was on 380. I haven't bought ammo in several years. In the past I would wait for a sale and then stock up. However, buying pistols in 380 occurred in the last few years. I now have more 380 pistols than I do rounds of 380 ammo.

Sounds like you won't be shooting your 380 very much for a while. I hope they will let some of you import some ammo from up here as we have NO shortage of any kind at all. Maybe Walmart on the Federal which does sell very well for that price. I still have at least 3 boxs of that just for my rifles as my Smiths don't cycle it very well. Too much grease on it it seems.
