At great cost to me, (mostly to my liver), I now can not tell you what the best 1911 is, but in my humble opinion, what the best Scotch and Bourbon is:
The best scotch is made by Glenmorangie and is called "Quinta Ruban" it is aged for 12 years in Port Casts. In case you don't know about the cheap Scotch brewers - they use barrels that were previously used.
The best Bourbon I've found, ignoring the cost, is made by Wild Turkey and is called "Rare Breed". I would tell you how long it has aged, but having consumed more of it than I should have tonight, I would probably fall down, break a hip or hit my head on the hearth before I got over to the liquor cabinet.
Now I would tell you the best 1911, but I don't own it yet. What do I own? Beats me. Could it be the effect of something I ate?

Give me a good Cognac but in the other flavors you are correct. To me 100 year old fruit Champagne is the only way to make a good Cognac. Too darn expensive but Really GOOD I can tell you.

Ashamed to admit a familiarity with little but Crown Royal, my local wineries, and my standby Taylor cream sherry.
I keep a bottle of Wild Turkey for my father-in-law and brother-in-law, but can't appreciate it myself.

I don't care much for Wild Turkey, in fact I wouldn't buy it, but if you really want to impress them, buy the Wild Turkey Rare Bead.

Crown Royal is made about 110 miles from my house in Windsor Ont. The warehouses are in WalkerVille which is just outside of Windsor. I would love to own a few of them warehouses.
